Seydisfjordur, Iceland

Mountain mist wreaths the shoreline hills.
The whole town but over the mountain was a place to hike five miles to a waterfall. We settled for the in town fall and the rain.
We were too big to dock while the Viking Mars had the best spot in the parking lot!
A wilderness town but with some beautiful and colorful homes and buildings. Many were duplexes as is the one with the blue roof.
As always a pretty little church and on this trip almost always locked. I am sure it is because of tourists, I doubt there are many thieves here!
The 'rainbow' walk made the tourist information and extends down the two blocks of the main street.
Perspective is always interesting. The Mars, foreground, is 920 passengers. The Nieuw Statendam is 3000!
When the winds blow the levels of the sculpture make a five part harmony unique to Iceland.
We had planned to climb up the falls walk but the rain was falling pretty hard and I think it would have been too slippery for me. Better safe than sorry!
A landslide caused by record heavy rains destroyed many homes and businesses in 2020 - as if COVID wasn't bad enough!
It was a short day and walking in the rain is never fun. Back on board some very delicious pizza!
Deb not only found more yarn but did the five mile hike! (Remember that is five miles back as well!)
