Does time pass slowly or quickly at sea?

I was surprised myself when I saw that I last entered notes here on the the 17th of February!

We had had only one port day in seven days of sailing!  Not a surprise if you are going TransAtlantic or TransPacific but it was an annoying surprise on this trip.  And now we were experiencing the expected Sea Days.

On Sunday, the 18th, I started the day in the Hydrotherapy Pool and had a nice chat with Kim who lives not far from Southampton.  She and her husband travel frequently with Viking.  I asked her about the best ways to get from Windsor Castle to Hampton Court which will try to do on our next trip.  Hope to make some connections while on-board but the population is predominately American.

Typical day - had lunch at Mamsen's after trivia.  good score today but could have done better.  Lecture about the History of the Amazon which was quite interesting and gave me a good understanding of why things are as they are.

An unusual, fun thing then happened.  A Crossing of the Equator Ceremony.  Wash away your past in the cold shower.  Take a dip n the warm sea (hot tub).  Most importantly kiss the fish.  In this case a pretty small one.  We didn't do the ceremony as we have crossed the Equator by sea twice before!  But we did chug a shot of Aqua Vit!  Killer liquor.

Tea in the Wintergarden included caramel macaron and of course a delicious scone with clotted cream and jam.  Gordon, a young restaurant manager who has befriended us, spent quite a bit of time chatting.  He had time as it wasn't busy.  Olga played piano beautifully as always.

We met our friends for a cocktail and Munch Moments before a 6:30 dinner at Manfredi's.  It is a good thing that this Italian restaurant isn't near my house or I would weigh even more!  So delicious.

And then the fun began.  I knew I wanted to go to the Liars Club and convinced Elva, Allan and Mary to come with me.  They didn't know what it was. Rosemary and Phil went to their very posh cabin.

If you do not know what it is it is simply a shipboard game loosely based on an old game show of the same name.  Tonight  Drew, the CD, Ian the ACD, Stephen the Shorex Manager, and Edvard the Beverage Manager played along with the singer host.  A real but strange word is displayed and each 'contestant' gives their explanation or the definition.  This crew went all out!  Slides and demonstrations to support their lies or are they telling the truth.

We, the audience, vote!  Ian's demonstration of Callipyagia by placing a key card between his buttocks, fully clothed or not, was hysterical.  It means perfectly shaped rear end. Even more chaos broke out when Drew demonstrated Ithyphallophobia!  I will leave you to figure out that one.  Suffice it to say that a good time was had by all!
