...And all through my house,
Chaos reigns as my packing is undone.
My telephone rings and my ringtone warns,
“Your son is calling, he probably needs something!”
And indeed he does,
At least as far as my brain goes,
Although he says no.
He has a medical issue and
The procedure is Monday.
I will be all at sea then
As he is now.
He’s not sure of the what, the when and the how!
What to do, what to do, what to do!
A family conference is held,
The experts consulted,
The decision is unanimous
.
So off to the ship I will fly.
He is not worried so
Neither will I!
