No. There are no pirates except the thief of time that stole yesterday from me!
I brought my travel laptop with me and it is refusing to reboot. I re-entered the bitlocker numbers, all 9000 of them, and restarted until I have no clue what my little blue ASUS wants from me. A message saying free up space is useless. Yes, that may make Windows feel better but how do I do that if I can't even open the system at all!
So, as I have indicated, I can not upload photos - I have plenty - as I have no way to connect my phone or camera to the tablet I am writing to you on. I spent a lot of time yesterday messing with it. I have resigned myself to shop for a new travel computer - a thing I have been threatening for years now! Luckily I can sit by the pool and write to you, but I wanted to make this all more interesting, a Show and Tell.
Saturday, the 8th, was a busy day. We started with omelettes in the Cafe. We like to look and choose and it does seem a little faster than the other venues. Adrienne joind us. As I said - laptop wars ensued back in my cabin! After Trivia we wandered through the buffet line, yes, again! Adreienne and Helen sat with us on the aft deckand we shared hometown talk.
At 2:00 I joined Mr. Russell Lee's Creative Writing class and learned some good tips and tricks of the trade. Not sure you will see them here! I didn't stay and chat after the presentation and group discussion which included a lively discussion of the examples we studied as well as some DIY writing. Very much fun.
Rushed from there. YES, a vacation day that required rushing. But next up was an appointment for the Explorer's Dome. This innovation gives Viking ships the first planeterriums at sea. The 360 degree ceiling has the ability to show a three D movie. As you might guess this was called Journey to Space. The 45 minute show was perfect timing. Very interesting full story bring space exploration from the past. A reservation for the comfortable, recliner seating, small space is required. We will have three more occaisions to view other programs. I will bring a blanket next time as the space is frigid to protect the multiple projectors.
After a nice walk around it was back to the buffet where the other ladies happened to find us and soon we were a pretty raucous bunch of restaurant escapies. Eating at the buffet is generally good. The food matches the restaurant but it is easy to pick and choose and the servings can be portion controlled. Note, I said CAN be! Food on Viking is remarkable in the best way where ever you find yourself. Yesterday is when during Tea Time I found the 6th lady to join our group!
After dinner Carol and I enjoyed the evening performance. Tonight was Getting to Know Us with the Resident vocalists and on stage cast of singers. Each told a little about themself and how they came to be an entertainer and then sang a song that meant a great deal to them.
Back at the cabin Carol and I talked for about an hour and are getting to kinow each other better as well!
